Let the good, clean fun begin! We are happy to announce that we will be reopening our doors and welcoming our guests and team members back to Kansas Crossing Casino starting Friday, May 22 at 10AM, pending state and
local regulatory approval.
As you are aware, we are now living in a very different world. When you come back to Kansas Crossing Casino, you’ll see the impact of our casino-wide Extra Care initiative to ensure the health and safety of our guests. This includes:
• The availability of anti-bacterial wipes throughout the casino
• Frequent sanitation of all screens, table tops and beverage centers
• Touchless hand sanitizer stations throughout the property
• Floor decals to help guests maintain physical distancing
• Some gaming devices will have chairs removed to help with physical distancing.
• Due to physical distancing Table games will remain closed until a later date
Casino hours of operation will now be Sunday- Thursday from 10AM- Midnight and Friday- Saturday from 10AM-2AM.
The south casino entrance will be the only entrance used to enter the casino. We will have entry screening to ensure no one with an elevated temperature of 99 degrees Fahrenheit or above enters the casino. Follow signage at the south entrance for entry into Two Brothers Mining Company.
All team members who work in direct guest-service areas will be wearing masks as part of their uniforms. Guests are also encouraged to wear masks, but will have to lower them briefly for the security guard when entering the casino floor for ID verification. We assure you that the health and safety of our guests and team members is our number one priority.
We believe that with enhanced cleaning and sanitization procedures in place and increased physical distancing measures throughout the property, we can safely get back to some good, clean fun!
Each year around this time – The Baxter Springs Chamber of Commerce recognizes our business entities during an annual banquet and use this special gathering to provide information on the activities and achievements of your Chamber and to introduce new members and their services. We recognize the role that these events play in the lives of our members and our community, but Chamber membership is a voluntary activity and is not worth jeopardizing the health and well-being of our communities.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) containment strategies - Continue to disrupt communities throughout our nation and the world in unprecedented ways, and we at The Baxter Springs Chamber of Commerce would like to take this opportunity to reiterate our commitment to the health and safety of our Chamber community, including our customers, partners, employees, and their families. During these uncertain times, we are taking all necessary steps to ensure reliable service and support to our customers and partners. We recognize you have entrusted us to promote your businesses and business events and we take this responsibility very seriously
Choosing the position of cautious optimism - and in keeping with our Nation’s CDC advisements and recommendations as of Friday, March 13, we have concluded our best recourse is to postpone our Annual Banquet previously scheduled for April 4, 2020 until the risks of spreading the respiratory virus is mitigated. This is a decision we do not make lightly and a new banquet date will be forthcoming as the risks are eliminated..
We want to thank all of the volunteer leaders serving our Chamber - this has been an incredibly stressful week and we all appreciate the time and energy you have devoted to managing these decisions and the impact they have on our members and the Baxter Springs community at-large.
Thank you for your care and concern for each other and our community. We will be sharing more updates and information as they develop. We encourage you to stay healthy, observe the local recommendations around gathering and social distancing for your community, and connect with your Chamber members virtually, online, or by phone. We can still support each other ... even if we’re not able to gather in the usual ways.
Please allow me to encourage you to contact me directly with any questions, comments, or concerns regarding this decision.
